Who is eligible to enroll in this program?
All children in grades K-8 (or homeschool equivalent) are welcome to participate in Religious Education. For First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, children who have been baptized in the Catholic Church, have reached the age of reason (around seven years old), are at least in second grade and have participated in Religious Education for a minimum of two years. Older children who are in need of receiving the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion may also enroll. The families of those enrolled should be registered members of St. Augustine Church.

When does this program take place?
The classes for this program are held Sunday mornings in between the 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Masses ( 10:15-11:15 a.m.).

Who are the teachers in our program?
The catechists (religion teachers) for the children are volunteers who willingly give of their time and energy. Being a Student Center we are blessed to have many University and College student volunteers. All of our catechists meet regularly with the Sacramental Prep Coordinator and go through catechist training.
